About the Owner
Meet Annie Bierma! Annie loves being in her studio space designing new and wonderful things. When she’s not working she enjoys drinking large amounts of coffee and riding around her vintage Schwinn bicycle. Annie graduated from the University of Iowa with her degree in theatre design. After graduation she moved to Boston where she met and married Peter, the love of her life. Shortly after marriage they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho (Annie’s home town) where they enjoy eating sushi and, of course, potatoes.
About the Name
Our name is inspired by Norton Juster’s short story The Dot and the Line (later made into an animated short by Chuck Jones). Design tells a story and it can be as simple as the relationship between a dot and a line.
About Our Fabrication Process
All of our products are %100 designed in house and handmade from raw materials. This means that you will receive only the finest quality products you won't find anywhere else.
Our lampshades are made with a process that was personally developed by me (Annie). They are not assembled from pre-made forms of any kind. We do not simply cover prefabricated shades or forms. This meas that we can virtually make any size and shape of hard backed lampshade. Interested in something custom? We would love to work with you to create just the right shade. Our Reusable Coffee Sleeves are made with an eco-friendly bamboo/cotton batting. In an effort to further minimize our carbon footprint we do our best to incorporate as many repurposed materials and vintage fabrics as possible.
